How to suggest the exact list of KB which need to be installed during || Microsoft Monthly Patching || Qualys

Monthly patching is a very important activity in respect of infrastructure security.

So we have to ensure all the essentials of monthly patching are going in the right manner, remediation team will let go of any step before moving to the next.

• Follow the Vulnerability management life cycle or the below steps.

1. Create a search list of current month-released patches. If you want to know to create serchlist for monthly patches, follow the below link.
2. SerchList creation
3. If you have scanners then perform a VM scan against the search list which you created by adding the searchlist in the template.
4. If you have a cloud agent then wait at least 2 days before fetching the report. That will help your console to get the latest from servers and workstations
5. Now you have to download the Excel report from the Qualys report module.
6. And there are column results from which you have to fetch all Kb which is mentioned in the whole report.
7. You can complete the above step by using Notepad++ which has the feature to copy mark text.
8. And you can mark by Ctrl+F → Enter KB[0–9]* → Click on mark text → copy mark text.
9. remove the duplicate using Excel.
10. Now you can share the exact list of KB to the remediation team.
