Qualys Cloud Agent deployment and its requirements

1. Requirement:-

• Hardware:- 2 GB RAM
• OS Level:- Supported OS from Windows, Linux, Mac, etc
• Port:- 443 to communicate Cloud platform.

2. Activation keys:-

• This key will be used to connect your agent to your subscription account. The key will be used during the installation of the agent. You will get from the Cloud console scanning tool like:- Keys and agent exe.

3. Network Team approval:- They will configure inbound and outbound activity/traffic through Port 443 over a vendor-defined URL.

4. Cloud platform URL should be allowed by designated organization firewall.

Deployment Ways:-

1. You can deploy them manually one by one if you have few assets.
2. If you have a large number of assets, better to push them by comparative administration tools like BigFix or SCCM.
3. You can also take leverage of GPO but be very careful of its effects like reboot and all. In that, you can discuss it with your Operational team.
